About the 25V4160
The 25V4160 is a Reliance Electric produced 25HP 3-Phase AC Drive made for the GV3000/SE series. Baldor Reliance and ABB may have also produced and sold this drive at some point in its production history.
The 25V4160 is a 380-460 VAC 50/60 Hz drive. This drive’s main function is to provide regulation to the motor. It has the ability to swap its regulation from the typical V/Hz to a vector regulation. This is beneficial because the vector regulation has the capacity to have a 150% output for 1 minute while the normal V/Hz has a continuous output current of 110%. It has a 30.2 KVA rating and a 750W power loss wattage. This drive has a 30.2 input amps and an output amperage of 34.5.
The 25V4160 is protected by a type 1 NEMA enclosure. It is vented and not meant for outside usage. This enclosure has a small access door that grants the user access to a small RS-232 communication serial port. The port is located on the regulator board. This enclosure protects many internal components that make up the drive. It has a power PCB, a fan wire harness and 2 fan assemblies, a diode bridge, a current feedback board, an IGBT module, input capacitors that come with a capacitor board, a regulator, a gate driver, and a power supply. The regulator on the drive is in charge of using microprocessors to regulate the drive’s processes. It connects to the backside of the keypad and fits onto it so that the regulator’s 7-segment 4-digit LED display panel fits onto the display area on the keypad. It mounts to the keypad using a mounting bracket on the keypad and then plugs into it using the J9 connection port.
