About the 2AX3000
The 2AX3000 is a Network Card Kit that was created by Reliance Electric for their GV3000 series controllers. This PCB may have also been sold by Baldor Reliance and ABB at some point. None of these companies still maintain the 2AX3000, but AX Control does make an effort to keep it in stock.
The 2AX3000 is an AutoMax Network Communications Option PCB. This board has the capability to facilitate the monitoring and operation of the drive controller over the AutoMax network. This kit does come with a Network Drop Cable (2NC3000). This cable is used to connect the controller to a passive tap. It uses the terminal strip on the board to do this. This option board turns the controller into a slave drop on the AutoMax network.
The 2AX3000 is mounted in the interior of the controller and connects directly to a regulator board using a ribbon cable that is located on the left side of the board. There is a 26-pin ribbon cable that is also connected to the board that leads to a current feedback board. The current feedback board is located below the keypad on the right side. There are two jumpers below that ribbon cable and below that is the terminal connection that goes to the passive tap. This board is mounted directly behind the regulator board and connects to the right side of the mounting bracket on the keypad.
Please be sure to read the Reliance instruction manual D2-3308 before installing this board into your controller. It is also important to make sure that you wear an anti-static wristband when handling this board or any other internal component for your controller.
