About the 2MT3000
The 2MT3000 is a DeviceNet Option Card developed by Reliance Electric and Horner Electric to be used with the GV3000 series. The GV3000 series is built for motor control, monitoring, and regulation. The two setups of control for the GV3000 line include vector regulation and voltage/frequency regulation. Reliance Electric no longer has the GV3000 series for sale, but AX Control also has several of these units in stock.
The 2MT3000 model was designed as an option board that will connect to GV300 drives while the model can be used with GV3000 drives, it can also be used with LiquiFlo AC modules, which were also produced by Reliance Electric.
The 2MT3000 DeviceNet Option Card is designed as a standard PBC, built to be integrated into the unit underneath the regulator board. To connect these two boards, attach a flexible ribbon cable to the parallel bus port.
Much like the regulator board, the 2MT3000 is outfitted with its own microprocessor. It is able to connect to one port of its dual memory, while the other port is able to grant a connection to the regulator board. The 2MT3000’s microprocessor is able to run diagnostic tests on the CPU, EPROM, RAM, and dual port memory.
There are two manuals associated with the 2MT3000 module; one is the D2-3411-8. The D2-3411-8 model gives limited information on the optional kit. The other is the HE-HGV3MT which is the part-specific manual for the 2MT3000 kit, but it is difficult to obtain.
