About the 30R4140
The 30R4140 is version 4.0 of the 30HP AC Power Module made by Reliance Electric. It was created as a part of the GV3000/SE series of drives. There is a possibility this drive was also in production under ABB or Baldor Reliance depending on its production dates.
The 30R4140 is a PWM (power-width-modulation) drive that has the capacity to use either vector or general-purpose (V/Hz) regulation. With the general-purpose regulation, it has a 110% continuous output capacity and with vector regulation, it has a 150% overload capacity for 1 minute. When this drive has vector regulation, it is 44KVA and 380-460 VAC. It has an input of 55 amps and an output of 45 amps. It has a full load power loss of 720 watts. When it is V/Hz regulated, it is rated 380-460 VAC and 59 KVA. It has a 960 power loss wattage. It has an input amperage of 74 and an output of 69 amps.
The 30R4140 is in a NEMA 1 style enclosure. It is a vented enclosure and has an RS-232 serial communication port access door. This enclosure is protecting a wide array of internal components that make up the drive. These internal components include a regulator, power unit interface PCB, gate driver PCB, 2 bus clamps, intelligent power module PCB, diode bridge, DC bus fuse, precharge contactor, current transformer, ground fault transformer, output reactor, precharge resistor, bus discharge resistor, 24 VDC fan, DC bus current sensor, and a keypad. The regulator board is actually connected to the back of the keypad display using a mounting bracket that is located on the keypad.
