About the 3V2160
Reliance Electric made the 3V2160 a 3 HP AC Power Module. This is version 6.04 of this series of GV3000/SE drives. It is possible that this drive was also produced by ABB and Baldor Reliance depending on what the production years were.
The 3V2160 is a pulse-width-modulation (PWM) drive that has the capacity to use either the standard general-purpose (V/Hz) regulation or to switch it to vector regulation. When this switch is made, the drive can maintain an output current of 150% for up to 1 minute. This device is a 50/60HZ 200-230 VAC drive. It is 5.5 KVA and has a power loss of 140 watts. It has a max output amps of 12.3 and a maximum input of 13.8 amps.
The 3V2160 is covered by a NEMA enclosure that is rated type 1. The enclosure comes with air vents on the sides. The user has access to a small flap on the front of the enclosure where they have the power to make use of an RS-232 serial communication port without the need of removing the cover on the enclosure. The user can then run a cable from the port to a PC. This enclosure is only meant for indoor usage. Make sure that this drive is kept clean, cool, and dry. It should be kept away from any type of oil, corrosive materials, or airborne contaminants. The drive and its enclosure are 280.7 mm tall, 222.3 mm wide, and 199.9 mm thick. It weighs 6.4 KG.
There are many important internal drive components that are being protected by the enclosure on the 3V2160. A few of these components include a GVPB board, two fan assemblies (one that is internal), a PISC board, a regulator PCB, and a membrane switch keypad that has a mounting bracket for the regulator.
