The 40V4060 is a GV3000 Closed Loop Vector Drive designed by Reliance Electric. It may have also been sold by Baldor Reliance or ABB at one point during its production years, but it is no longer being supported by these companies. The 40V4060 is a 460 VAC 40 HP 50/60 Hz 3-phase drive. It is 30 kilowatts with 54 continuous amps. For heavy-duty applications, it can maintain a peak amperage of 81 and for normal duty applications, it can maintain a peak amperage of 59. It has a 200 Hz maximum output frequency. It has motor matching using automatic tuning and a manual override.

This drive has several protective features. It has the ability to trip the system when it detects an over/under voltage, over current, over temperature, a shorted output, a grounded output, overloaded motor, encoder loss, or a microprocessor checksum. It has a forced air-cooling method. This drive is in an open enclosure.

The 40V4060 has a keypad and a display user interface. The display is a 4 character 7-segment LED. There are 14 additional LED indicators that display the drive’s status. It has 9 keys that are labeled up/down arrows, Auto/MAN, Forward/Reverse, Program, Enter, Start, Stop/Reset, and Run/Jog. There are two fan assemblies on the bottom of the drive that helps to keep air circulating to the internal drive components. There are three terminals on the bottom of the drive that are labeled U, V, and W.
