About the 50V4151
The 50V4151 is a Reliance Electric 50 HP GV3000 AC Drive. ABB and Baldor Reliance also probably produced this drive as a part of their product lines, but Reliance has since discontinued the GV3000 line. Although the 50V4151 has become had to find now, AX Control still attempts to keep it in stock.
The 50V4151 is a 37.3 kW 3-phase drive. It has an input capacity of 380/460 VAC, 72 amps, and 50/60 Hz. It has an output capacity of 380-460 VAC and 67 amps. It has a short circuit rating of 30 kiloamps. It is protected with a NEMA 1 type / IP20 enclosure. There are vents on the top and sides of the unit and a small access door just below the user interface that a user to get access to an RS-232 port.
On the top and bottom of the 50V4151 are a total of 7 holes where wiring coming in and out of the drive can be separated. When the front cover of the enclosure is removed a user can see the internal components of the drive. On top of everything is the user interface. It is made up of a keypad, 14 LED indicators, and a display window that is connected to the 4-digit 7-segment LED display located on the regulator card. Below the user interface, the regulator card can be partially seen attached to a bracket on the back of the user interface. There is a terminal strip that can be accessed on the bottom of the regulator card. The keypad is attached to the regulator card using a ribbon cable that attaches to the J9 port on the regulator. Below the regulator board is a metallic plate and another PCB that is attached to two large terminal strips.
