Reliance Electric’s GV3000 AC Power module number 7V4151 has a voltage range of 380 to 460 V according to the third character, which is 4, in the model number. Each character in the model number is important as it indicates the functions of the drive. For example, the V indicates that the horsepower will be less than or equal to 50 HP, and the first character directly correlates with the horsepower rating. The horsepower rating for the 7V4151 drive is 7.5 HP. The regulator board is the most important component of the drive as it is used in conjunction with the vector and volts/hertz regulation and can adjust a variety of parameters that are embedded within the drive. One of the components of the regulator board on the 7V4151 drive is an RS-232 communication port, this communication port will provide communication between a personal computer which will run the configuration and control (CS3000) software and the GV3000 drive itself.
