About the HEC-GV3-N2
This unit is designated as the HEC-GV3-N2, a Horner Electric product built to be integrated into the GV3000 series of alternating current motor control modules. The GV3000 module is a motor control drive that is outfitted with vector-based regulation, as well as general-purpose (V/Hz) regulation. These units were produced and developed by Reliance Electric Limited.
The HEC-GV3-N2 was built by Horner Electric however and was designed as a DeviceNet Option Board. This component is a printed circuit board, able to be mounted within the GV3000 drive’s internal system, located just under the regulator board (which regulates the distribution of power throughout the drive, ensuring its multifunctional design).
The DeviceNet Option Board functions primarily as a “slave” node within the DeviceNet network, and it is able to provide the GV3000 it is connected to with the ability to interact on the network. The DeviceNet network is able to host several other controller modules that the GV3000 can interact with.
The HEC-GV3-N2 is able to connect to the regulator board by connecting a ribbon cable between the two. The HEC-GV3-N2 is equipped with a series of ports, such as the parallel bus port, which accepts the ribbon cable, and then the 5-pin terminal set of connectors.
AX Control Inc. is able to offer the HEC-GV3-N2, as well as several other DeviceNet Circuit Board units, and other components that are accepted by GV3000 Drives.
