The polarity of the signal is either positive or negative based on direction. The logic output signal for ROTATION DIRECTION (45) indicates motor rotation direction ON indicates counterclockwise rotation when viewed from the shaft end. The output stays latched until a change in the direction of the motor. The drive does not have to be in RUN mode. On the 2CN connector, the motor mounted encoder feedback signals are repeated and available.
The Encoder Isolation/Buffer Kit (3EB1) is designed to be used when the motor is mounted more than 100 feet from the controller. Use the color code information found in table 3.3 in the user manual if optional motor encoder circuit box is provided.
