When the regulator is set for Speed or Torque modes, the direction of the motor rotation is determined by a reference polarity. The HR2000 controller contains non-volatile, read-write memory (EEPROM), which provides the ability to operate a variety of motor and encoder designs by storing the default value of the drive parameters.
