About the B18J1080
The B18J1080 is a 4HP Reliance Electric C-Face Explosion-Proof Motor. It is a part of the HR2000 Series of motors. There is a good chance that ABB and Baldor Reliance also mass-produced this motor at one point, but none of these manufacturers still maintain the B18J1080. It has become a little hard to locate, but AX Control still makes every attempt to keep the B18J1080 in stock.
The B18J1080 is a high-performance drive that is in an XPFC explosion-proof enclosure. It is rated for Class 1, Group D environments. This motor has a standard conduit box and can be foot mounted. The electrical connections to this motor are typically made through MS connectors. This motor features a thermally isolated 2500 PPR optical encoder, a mating MS encoder cable, and a winding thermostat. This motor does not come with the brake motor option. This motor is 24.85” long and 10.18” wide. It has a control torque of 126 lbs. and a base speed of 2000 RPM.
The B18J1080 requires a controller that has an input of 230 V, 24 amps, 3-phase, and 50/60 Hz. It requires a power supply with 12/24 VDC @ 60 mA. It also needs the control to have an output of 12 continuous amps and a peak amps of 48. Chassis Controller model 3RA2004 is suggested for this motor.
