About the B90H1035
Reliance Electric manufactures B90H1035, an enclosed motor that is part of the HR2000 drive series. The horsepower is 3, the continuous torque rating is 94.5 in-lbs, the base speed is 2000 rpm, and the inertia is 0.031 lb. in s^2. The associated chassis controller is 3RA2003. The flange mounting is an FF200 IEC flange. This motor is enclosed in a TENV enclosure.
The motor nameplate data must correspond to the controller output ratings. If a motor thermal switch or overload device is required, ensure that it is wired correctly and sized for the rated motor current. Rotate the motor shaft by hand to check that the motor is free from any binding or mechanical load problem, and that no loose items are present. Initialize the regulator with the motor uncoupled from the load. Make sure that the motor and encoder covers are tightly closed so that the heat-producing motor does not ignite in hazardous atmospheres.
Starting the controller is a two-part process. The first step involves running the drive with the motor and machine uncoupled. The second step involves running the drive with the motor and the machine coupled together. There is a notch filter in the feedback loop that eliminates motor inertia mismatches. A constant speed will be maintained on the motor if a continuous pulse input is received by the controller. Motor rotation is determined by the logic level state of an optically isolated input when the controller is in Position mode. When the regulator is set for Speed or Torque modes, the direction of motor rotation is determined by a reference polarity.
