About the BLA-08
The BLA-08 module is an AC Brushless Servo Controller that Reliance Electric designed and manufactured to be included in the HR200 series of drives and related products. If you are interested in the BLA-08 servo controller, then call AX Control anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. during the week to check on its availability in our stock. We typically have the BLA-08 servo controller in stock even though Reliance Electric no longer has it in their stock.
Be aware that the BLA-08 servo controller has also been produced using the product number 3RA2002, which also was distributed using the company name Reliance Electric. Also, the companies Asea Brown Boveri and Baldo Reliance either the product number BLA-08 or 3RA2002. Despite that, the product is no different even with a different product number or company name on the label.
The BLA-08 servo controller has a 3-phase system and a chassis type enclosure. The BLA-08 servo controller’s AC input 50/60 Hz, 200/220 VAC and its AC output is set to be rated at 180 Volts. The BLA-08 servo controller’s short circuit SYM RMS rating is set at 5 kiloAmps. Lastly, the BLA-08 servo controller is UL listed.
Prior to use, be sure that you mount the BLA-08 servo controller to either a UL type or NEMA type enclosure. For wiring purposes, be sure that you only use 60/75 degrees Celsius wires only, as any other type of wire can cause significant damage to the controller.
There are numerous I/O ports located on the side of the BLA-08 servo controller that all serve different purposes. By plugging and unplugging different jacks into these ports, the user can control what the controller does. There are also 14 LED status indicator lights that tell the user the different statuses of the BLA-08 servo controller, such as whether or not it is ready to run.
