About the 5RD0400
The 5RD0400 model is a Brushless AC Servo made to be part of the HR500 series of servos and motors. The HR500 was designed with an industrial design in mind, and they also have many necessary features that are used to maximize the performance. In order to assist the motor maintain a high torque to inertia ratio, the motor has rare earth magnets. In an effort to properly regulate the position and speed of the entirety of the motor’s operating range, an optical encoder is included within the motor.
The 5RD0400 Brushless AC Servo is a large, white cube shaped module. On the face of the 5RD0400 Brushless AC Servo, there are several screws that can be seen. The first three are labeled as “AC INPUT.” The AC input screws are labeled in order as follows: “181 (R),” “182 (S),” “183 (T).” The next four are labeled as “DC SUPPLY.” These DC supply screws are labeled in order as follows: “147 (P),” “147 (P),” “145 (N),” “145 (N).” The last of these screws is labeled as “G (E).” The sides and bottom of the 5RD0400 Brushless AC Servo are ventilated.
On one side of the 5RD0400 Brushless AC Servo, there is a black Reliance Electric label with white text on it that gives information about the 5RD0400 Brushless AC Servo. The enclosure of the 5RD0400 Brushless AC Servo is a chassis type. The AC input of the 5RD0400 Brushless AC Servo is 1/3PH, 50/60 Hz, and 200~230 VAC. The DC output is 254~358 Volts and the maximum const. rating is 1PH.
