The drive can be mounted with screws or on the DIN rail, but it must be mounted upright on a vertical, flat, and level surface. A plastic top panel should be installed on the drive to prevent debris from getting into the top of the drive through the vent.

The user must ground the shield only at the source end when the shielded cable is used for control and signal wiring. Do not ground the shield at the drive end. Relatively high ground leakage currents may result from using single-phase drives with an integral filter, or from using an external filter with any drive rating. Therefore, the filter must only be used in installations with grounded AC supply systems and be permanently installed and solidly grounded to the building power distribution ground.
