The Reliance Electric Part Number 14C10U is a Single Phase D-C Controller. It is defined as a full-wave power transformer that has an analog current minor and major loop that is used to adjust the armature voltage or speed by using a tachometer feedback. The Reliance Electric 14C10U enclosure has a 0.80 HP rating, uses 230 volts of AC input at 35 maximum amps, runs at 50/60 Hertz, and has an AC output of 180 volts at 25 max amps. The 14C10U enclosure has a maximum limit of 5000 amps.
The Controller uses the 14C20 chassis, which is enclosed in a NEMA Type 4/12 enclosure. It is intended for mounting on the wall or a panel. The cover is hinged to make it easy to install on walls or a panel. The 14C10 enclosure can also be configured into a chassis-only arrangement so that it can be panel mounted on a large electrical enclosure. An optical remote control station can be placed either on the larger electrical enclosure’s surface or installed some distance away.
The 14C20 chassis has one POWER ON/OFF circuit breaker that comes independent of the faceplate and enclosure. The Operator’s Station is for convenient use of the Controller. Control functions can be modified by using an Operator’s station with the application.
