About the 14C20
The Reliance Electric Part Number 14C20 is a chassis mainly used with the 14C10 and 14C10U Single-Phase Controller. Due to the controllers being designed as a wall or panel mount, they need to be within 10 degrees of vertical positioning. Mounting of controllers on the 14C20 chassis needs to be done in such a way that it will have at least 11 inches of space to the left and 2 inches from the top, right, and bottom section of the chassis. Open panels need to be at least 8 inches from the top and at least 6 inches from the bottom.
When wiring the drive through the 14C20 chassis, general wiring methods for the controllers should include AC and DC power input wirings from the top and the bottom. It is important to wire the reference signal wire through a different steel conduit independent of all AC and DC power and control. The wires need to have two twists per inch using stranded copper that has a double or twisted triple conductor wire, AWG No. 16 that has poly-vinyl chloride insulation within 40 to 105 degrees celcius. The 14C20 single phase chassis has a 5 HP rating, a 115 volts AC input at 10.5 max amps, a DC output of 80 volts at 7.5 max amps, and a maximum power supply rating of 1000 amps. For proper circulation through the heat sink, never mount the chassis horizontally.
