Product Description

The MinPak Plus series manufactured by Reliance Electric includes 14C32, an Enclosed D-C controller.

The transformer maximum kVA per phase is 40. The transformer full load kVA is 5.0. This controller has a horsepower rating between 2 and 3 hp. The optional D-C field is 200 volts and the optional maximum is 3.0 amperes. The VAC for 14C32 is 230 and the power supply capacity is 5000. The D-C armature voltage is 180, and the A-C (RMS) is 14.0-21.0 amps. Finally, the D-C armature averages 10.0-15.0 amps.

When mounting the controller, leave 2 inches of space around the three unhinged sides. Remember that the controller’s cover is hinged, so additional clearance must be provided on the fourth side of the chassis. Do not place the controller where the cover cannot swing open at least 90 degrees.

Do not route the tachometer feedback signal cable, if used, in the a-c or d-c conduits. Use a dedicated steel conduit fixed in the proper well, as well as the specified wire for this function. If the correct voltage is not available to power the controller, it will be necessary to install a transformer between the power supply and the controller. If an isolation or auto-transformer is used ahead of the controller, place the disconnect switch on the a-c power line between the power source and the transformer primary.

The chassis has five conduit wells: a-c incoming voltage, d-c outgoing voltage, tachometer feedback, remote station, process control or auto reference. The latter three conduit wells are optional.
