About the 14C40

The 14C40 is a MinPak Plus Controller from Reliance Electric.   This unit is part of the company’s series of DC variable speed drive systems and features a 230 VAC input with a 10.5 amp 1 phase input rated at 50/60 Hz.  The output rating on this unit is rated at 180 VDC/7.50 A.   The unit is enclosed in a type 4/12 NEMA enclosure and is UL listed.  

Reliance Electric Single-phase controllers are designed as full-wave power converters.  They do not include a back rectifier.   These units include an analog major loop and an analog current minor loop to allow for speed regulation via tach feedback.   As shipped, the unit is designed for wall or panel mounting, but it can be converted to a chassis-only configuration if you would rather install it inside a larger enclosure.   The unit can be controlled by an optical remote control placed at a distance from the unit.  

Please refer to Reliance Electric documentation for important information regarding the proper installation of this equipment including proper panel layout and wire configurations to/from drive units.   A  fused disconnect and lockout should be installed to protect both equipment and workers.   Information regarding Disconnect installation can be found within Reliance documentation.
