The Double Pole Circuit Breaker Kit 14C212 is for MinPak Plus DC drives which have a magnetic/manual trip unit that is non-regenerative. It is a single pole drive that has a standard power on/off circuit breaker that comes standard. This circuit breaker protects the power devices of the drive from any current overload. An extra layer of protection comes from the Double Pole circuit breaker. Its function is to disconnect any current flowing in the control circuits. It also enables AC input conductors between the power devices of the drive and the terminal block when tripped.

The Double Pole Circuit Breaker needs to have horsepower and voltage rating that is similar to the drive. For the Double Pole Circuit Breaker Kit 14C212, the drive horsepower is 2 to 3 HP at 230 VAC. One circuit breaker, some mounting screws, and connecting wires are provided with the Double Pole Circuit Breaker Kit hence there is no need to acquire further equipment when using this kit.

The 14C212 Circuit Breaker Kit includes a Double Pole Circuit Breaker, Jumper Wire 182, Jumper Wire 42, Harness Wire 51/52, 6-32 x ¼ mounting screws, and an instruction manual. When installing the Double Pole Circuit Breaker, make sure to disconnect any incoming current to the drive. Next, make sure that there is no voltage coming into AC input terminals L2/182 and L1/181 of the drive after removing the cover. The default single pole circuit breaker should be at the drive’s top location. Further instructions are provided in the user instruction manual.
