About the 45C72
A 45C72 is a Coax Connector created by Reliance Electric. This connector was also distributed by Allen Bradley, Baldor Reliance, and ASEA BROWN BOVERI. This part has been retired by the manufacturing companies and is considered to be an obsolete part. AX Control, however, does maintain the 45C72 as a new surplus or reconditioned stock part.
The 45C72 is a Male Passive BNC Coax Connector that was distributed as a replacement part. This connector is approved for use within typical Reliance Electric MaxPak III Network Adapter Modules. The 45C72 is a part needed to connect the Network Adapter Module to an AutoMax/DCS rack. This connector is not included with the Network Adapter Module and thusly needs to be purchased separately. All of the coax assemblies require a terminating load at the ends of the cables.
The Network Adapter Module’s purpose in the MaxPak III assembly is to provide an interface that runs from the DC Drive to the Control System. It provides the main hardware that is used to provide control status data to and from the system. This module has its own power supply and a motherboard.
For more information about the 45C72 and the MaxPak III’s Network Adapter Module, please consult the D2-3205-1 instruction manual.
