705330-31R Reliance VSX PC Board Field Supply
The 705330-31R is a VSX Field Supply. This component provides shunt field excitation via a fixed diode rectifier using incoming a/c line power. This component is sometimes sold as a component from the companies Asea Brown Boveri or Baldor Reliance.
The 705330-31R is designed with two carriers connected by wired connections. The first carrier is a flat metal plate with two fuses (700V 25A) mounted in fuse holders that have been screw mounted to the surface of the carrier. The carrier has four stab-on connectors. Two of these are connected to wires looped through a round opening cut in the center of the carrier’s surface.
The second part of the 705330-31R is a second metal carrier. This has one upward facing and one downward facing flange. Each of these is drilled to allow for mounting. The carrier has three metal oxide varistors lined up behind three power cube (rectifier) diodes (405919) with extending arms that allow easy connection to wired connections.
