The 76624-L is also known as a Unit Pole for a Series 447 20Amp Electrically Held Lighting Contactor. Lighting Contactors use unit poles that are electrically held and are operated using magnets. The poles are held on one of two plates. One plate can hold up to four poles while the other plate can hold five or more. This type of contactor does not need coil clearing contacts.
The Unit Poles, like the 76624-L, are typically built the same even if they aren’t the same size. All of these poles come with some of the same basic features. These features include but are not limited to, a housing that protects it verses the environment, a fast break, pressure connectors, and a wiping action.
