About the 78090-20R
The 78090-20R module was one of the many DC contactors that Reliance Electric created and manufactured. Although the 78090-20R DC contactor has been discontinued and has thus been rendered obsolete, we here at AX Control may have it in stock today. The 78090-20R DC contactor is operated by a solenoid, as are all of the DC contactors that Reliance Electric initially made. With the solenoids, the 78090-20R DC contactor has the ability to have a very long life. The 78090-20R DC contactor will have a fast, consistent performance for its entire long lifespan. In addition to that, the 78090-20R DC contactor has its pressure type terminals in a perfect location, the very front of the device. This location ensures that the terminals are easy to access and will give the user the ability to perform straight-through wiring and wire channel layout procedures.
The 78090-20R DC contactor also has stainless steel springs, which are used to maintain a consistent, exact pressure with high accuracy. Also, the 78090-20R DC contactor is constructed out of high arc resistant, hot-molded, high impact insulating material, which is designed to completely surround the 78090-20R DC contactor’s contacts and operating magnet in two totally separate compartments on the contactor. This, in turn, effectively eliminates internal phase to phase short circuits.
