Reliance Electric designed many different DC contactors, and this includes the 78090-7R contactor. The 78090-7R contactor, however, has since been discontinued by the original manufacturer. AX Control may have the 78090-7R contactor in stock in either brand new form from our access to surplus stock or in refurbished form by our team of professional, knowledgeable staff. The 78090-7R contactor is rated at 120 VDC at 50/50 Hz. The definite purpose rating of the 78090-7R contactor is 40 Amps at 600 VDC.
The DC contactors that Reliance Electric designed and manufactured are capable of being used as a main line, accelerating, or reversing contactor in conjunction with DC controllers and motor starters. In addition to that, the DC contactors can be applied to perform switching resistive heating and battery load applications.
The Reliance Electric DC contactors are outfitted to hold a maximum of four auxiliary contact blocks, although there are additional attachments, such as the side mounting kit that Reliance Electric produced, that will allow you to install additional auxiliary contacts using field installation techniques. The contactors will either be furnished using N.C., N.O., or a combination of those two types of auxiliary contact blocks.
The DC contactors are also equipped with both late break auxiliary and economizing resistors. In addition to these resistors, the DC contactors are created to have pressure type terminals outfitted on them.
