The 78092-6R DC contactor, as is standard for all other Reliance Electric DC contactors, have the ability to perform many different applications. This includes both switching batter loads and resistive heating. The 78092-6R DC contactor has the ability to be used as a main line, accelerating, and reversing contactor within a DC controller or motor starter.
The 78092-6R DC contactor is operated using a solenoid, which makes it have a long life with fast, consistent performance. The terminals are pressure type and are located on the front of the 78092-6R DC contactor, making it optimal for many different wiring layouts, such as straight through wiring as well as wire channel layouts. The contacts that come furnished with it have positive circuit interruption and long life due to the large size, permanent magnet blowouts, and magnet blowouts. These contacts can either be N.O., N.C., or a combination of the two.
