The 78092-7R DC contactor is one of many contactor units that Reliance Electric made. This particular contactor has a definite purpose rating of 110 Amps and 600 VDC. As is standard with all of the DC contactors that Reliance Electric shipped, the 78092-7R DC contactor has the ability to serve many different roles within DC controllers and motor starters. The 78092-7R DC contactor has the ability to serve as a main line contactor, an accelerating contactor, and a reversing contactor. The 78092-7R DC contactor can also be used for a variety of other applications, such as battery loading and switching resistive heating.
In order to ensure that the 78092-7R DC contactor has a long, productive lifespan, it is operated using a solenoid, which is a type of electromagnet.
