About the 78095-1C
The 78095-1C module is an auxiliary contact that was produced by Reliance Electric and is compatible with their brand of motor starters and contactors. The 78095-1C auxiliary contact has been discontinued by Reliance Electric, but AX Control may have it in stock as a brand new product or reconditioned by our professional staff.
The 78095-1C auxiliary contact is labeled as N.C., which means that it is Normally Closed. A normally closed auxiliary contact allows current to run through whenever the device it is inserted and is not energized.
The 78095-1C auxiliary contact has the ability to be installed on every side of the Reliance Electric motor starter. This means that up to four auxiliary contacts can be installed onto the motor starter at one time. However, there is a side mounting kit that was made by Reliance Electric. If you have this side mounting kit, you are able to add four more auxiliary contacts to a starter motor, for a total of eight auxiliary contacts at the same time.
Take special care to ensure that the environment you are installing the 78095-1C auxiliary contact in is in great condition. The environment must not have any debris, oils, or dust present anywhere near the installation area, and regular cleaning must occur. Also, verify that there are no gases that could be harmful to the 78095-1C auxiliary contact present in the air, as it could be damaged or the processes could be interrupted.
For contactors, the 78095-1C auxiliary contact will add an additional half an inch to the width dimension of the entire contactor. Verify that you have enough space to fit the 78095-1C auxiliary contact in your facility. If you do not, reposition your contactor so that it has enough space.
