The 78095-1S is a Reliance Electric Auxiliary Contact. It is possible that ABB, Allen Bradley, and Baldor Reliance also produced this contact in their product lines, but it has since been discontinued by all of these manufacturers. Every attempt is made by AX Control to keep the 78095-1S in stock.

The 78095-1S is a small AC auxiliary contact that is either orange or blue. It weighs roughly 0.05 lbs. It has zero NO (normally open) contacts and two NC (normally closed) contacts. The top of the contact is labeled NO and the bottom is labeled NC. There are two factory drilled holes on the 78095-1S that can be used to mount it. In the center of the contact is a small gap that shows a white plastic piece.

An auxiliary contact is an electromechanical device that is normally mounted onto a Reliance Electric motor starter. This type of contact has a much lower current rating than the main contact which has the power to switch current to a high-powered source. It is possible for one main contact to have multiple auxiliary contacts (a maximum of four) that can be in the NO or NC positions depending on the needs of the device it is attached to.
