About the 845222-X
845222-X Reliance Electric Circuit Board
The 845222-X is a board component used in Reliance Electric drive systems. Reliance is the manufacturer of several different drives, including Automax, FlexPak, FlexPak Plus, and the GV 3000 drive series. Components for these drives were sometimes sold under alternate company names like Baldor-Reliance and Asea Brown Boveri.
The 845222-X is a rectangular circuit board with a faceplate attached to its front edge and an auxiliary board carrier attached to its rear quarter. The faceplate attaches using screw mounts. It is populated by six rotary dials, four in one line and two in the other. These are all individually labeled. Each dial connects to a potentiometer located on the rear side of the panel. The faceplate also has two set screws that allow technicians to lock the component in place within a rack system. The panel is marked with the Reliance logo and with the board ID number. The rear edge carries a vertical auxiliary board carrier made from two metal components with an attaching crossbar. This supports a vertical auxiliary board that is connected to the board. This board is populated with various components including resistors, capacitors, and diodes, and transistors.
The rest of the 845222-X board is populated by several fields of terminal pins. It has four large polyester vinyl capacitors located directly in front of the auxiliary board carrier. The board uses several surface wires, as well as resistors and diodes.
