84586-22R Reliance Electric Rack Module
The 84586-22R is a Reliance Electric component used within several of the company’s drive systems. This module was sold under several manufacturing names, including Baldor-Reliance, Asea Brown Boveri, and Reliance Electric. It is no longer actively manufactured but can be purchased as new-old-stock from AX Control.
The 84586-22R is composed of a vertical rack system with several board guides. On the top of each end of this rack, there is a terminal strip attached to the flat top edge. The rack has several large drill holes cut in its sides to allow for threading wired connections through, as well as multiple smaller drill holes that allow for the mounting of components. A transformer component is mounted to the right interior wall of the rack.
In most applications, the 84586-22R is mounted to a 0-51377-24 circuit board. This board has a terminal strip that runs the length of one edge and terminal pins that run the length of two shorter edges. The interior of the board has multiple female connectors to accept the backplane connectors of other boards. There is an additional circuit board (0-54355) mounted to the exterior of the rack. This is populated by several terminal pins, a short terminal strip, resistors, diodes, and capacitors.
