85014-13W Power Module Assembly Thyristor
The 85014-13W is a Power Module Assembly/Thyristor manufactured by Reliance Electric. This component was sold by Reliance under their own company name, but also under the manufacturing names of ABB and Baldor-Reliance. This component can be purchased from AX Control as new-never-used liquidated stock or as a reconditioned used part.
The 85014-13W is designed from two horizontally stacked heat sinks that are connected together by six vertical crossbars, three to a side. These crossbars also support the two circuit boards located on the component. The circuit boards are bolted to the crossbars by three bolts each. One circuit board is populated by electrolytic capacitors and wire-wound resistors, while the other board has electrolytic and polyester vinyl capacitors, wire-wound resistors and other components. Wired connections from each board connect to the heat sinks. There are three SCR diodes mounted into the middle surface of each heat sink. Each heat sink has two rotating armatures located at the top edge of one end. These armatures each have a single brass quick connect screw mount located on its foot.
