About the 86466-10R
86466-10R is a rectifier stack by Reliance Electric that is suited for large DC motor drives. These DC motor drives are power modulators or amplifiers that take a low current and convert it to high current. While the 86466-10R is doing that it also converts AC current to DC current. The 86466-10R has eight 500V 600A fast acting Amp-Trap fuses attached underneath the housing. The Amp-Trap fuses are designed to protect the electrical system from explosions or fire and to protect people from an arc flash. The 86466-10R has a large fan connected to the outside of the stack to allow for proper cooling. The 86466-10R uses multiple wires to connect into the device.
