About the 86466-60R

The 86466-60R is a Reliance Electric Rectifier Stack. It may have been also released at various times by ABB or Baldor Reliance. It has since been discontinued and may be difficult to locate. AX Control, however, tries to keep this part in stock.

The 86466-60R is also called a semiconductor thyristor. It is designed as a hollow metal base that acts as a carrier, with several components that are mounted onto it. It also has three metal mounting brackets that allow it to be attached to a drive system. The device has two 2-section heat sinks that each have a 0-51378-19 PC Gate Coupling printed circuit board on top of them.  

The gate coupling boards on the 86466-60R has three resistors, three diodes, a large transformer, and four metal pins. The transformer is kept in place using a metal bracket. The metal pins connect to a pin connector that runs to the heatsink it is attached to. The boards are secured to the rectifier stack using two screws for each board. In the event that a gate coupling card becomes damaged in your system, AX Control does also sell single 0-51378-19 gate coupling boards as a replacement part.
