The 86466-60W has a 4Gate Coupling Board. This board is also called a Phase Rectifier Module and is used to make energy manageable for the device it is attached to by converting Alternating Current (AC) to Direct Current (DC). DC current is more manageable because it only flows one way.

The 86466-60W is part of the Spindle Drive System and is mounted in the Rectifier Enclosure. The Enclosure is the center portion of an Isolation Transformer on a Spindle Drive Chassis where three thyristor pairs control one phase of an AC supply line.

The rectifier enclosure includes a Thyristor Cooling Fan, a Rectifier Enclosure Cover, and Phase Rectifier Modules. There are three of these modules in the rectifier enclosure. The overlapping of drives is required to have insulators between the rectifiers. There are two types of rectifier modules, low and medium current. A medium-current module can be substituted for a low current version, but not the other way around.
