86466-92T is a Rectifier Tower manufactured by Reliance Electric. This tower is an electrically controlled device that converts Alternating Current or AC to Direct Current or DC. This basically means it takes an energy current that can go forward or backward occasionally (Alternating) and makes it only go forward (Direct). This is a duel tower rectifier with a large thyristor in the and an orange bar connecting the two towers in the center. AT the top there is a housing with a small circuit board and a large metal covered pack with two raised capped terminals at the top. It is marked CDE SCAN 234R-F 86A81205K80 MFD 1000 V PEAK. The towers are each marked with the part number 86466-92T. Each tower features sixteen fins on each side of one tower. This equates to sixty-four fins total. There is a large bracket at the bottom of both towers to secure them into place. These towers can be affected negatively by power surges or any form of power loss.
