As a rectifier component, the 86466-9R is used to convert incoming AC power into a DC output. It allows this power to flow in one direction (DC) only. The unit is designed using two large vertical heat sink components that have been bolted together, leaving an air gap between them. Other components are used on the rectifier stack, including SCR diodes and MOVs.
