86474-7R Rectifier Stack
The 86474-7R is a Reliance Electric component used within various drive systems. This rectifier stack component has also been sold as a Baldor-Reliance component and an Asea Brown Boveri component. It is available from AX Control as a never used surplus part as well as a reconditioned unit that has gone through our extensive refurbishment process at the hands of our in-house technicians.
The 86474-7R is used within most drive systems to rectify or ‘straighten’ an alternating current into a single direction DC direct current. This unit is designed using a high voltage capacitor and a gating circuit board, both screw mounted to the top of two vertical heat sinks. These heat sinks are bolted together in such a way as to leave an air gap between them. Within this air gap, additional components are mounted, including an SCR diode and metal oxide varistors. Components located between the heat sinks and above them connect via wired connections.
