The K-268 auxiliary contact kit is one of many versions of auxiliary contact kits that Reliance Electric designed and manufactured. The K-268 auxiliary contact kit has been discontinued by Reliance Electric and therefore is no longer supported through repairs or offered new by that particular company. However, AX Control may have this product in either brand new condition from surplus stock or as a reconditioned product by our team of dedicated professionals. For Reliance Electric motor starters, the K-268 auxiliary contact kit is easily installable. No tools are necessary in the installation process of the K-268 auxiliary contact kit. You simply need to hold the motor starter firmly in position and install the auxiliary contact kit into the proper position. For motor starters, you can have four auxiliary contact kits with one on each side. However, there is a side mounting kit that you can purchase, which will add four more auxiliary contact kits for eight total. This is a worthy investment, as you will be able to increase the amount of contacts that the motor starter has without having to purchase another motor starter
If you are installing the K-268 auxiliary contact kit to a contactor, keep in mind that you will need adequate space for it, as it will increase the width of the contactor on the given side by half an inch. Make sure that you have the room for this or are able to reposition your contactor if you do not have this extra room.
