About the K-300
The K-300 contact kit is a replacement part designed and marketed by Reliance Electric. This renewal part from Reliance was used to replace contacts on one of the company’s size 3 contactors.
Reliance size 3 contactors have an 8-hour amp rating of 100 A (open) and 90 A (enclosed). They are designed for use at 250 Volts DC maximum. Contactors use solenoid operation to ensure constant, fast, long-life performance. And while the double break contacts, made from silver cadmium oxide, are designed for long contact life, they do sometimes need replacement. That is where this kit comes in handy by offering a single contact that can be switched out for any contact that may have wear.
The K-300 contact kit includes the contactor plate, two screw poles, and a coil. This size contactor requires two poles in series for single pole applications.
