The K-353 was a Contact Repair Kit created by Reliance Electric. The K-353 may have also been made by ASEA BROWN BOVERI, Allen Bradley, and Baldor Reliance depending on what year it was in production. This kit has been discontinued by the manufacturers and is considered to be obsolete, but AX Control still maintains this part as new surplus stock part or as a reconditioned item.
The K-353 is also known as a Single Pole Contact Kit. This kit contains a stationary contact, a movable contact, and a contact spring. The 1 Pole contact kits in this series are rated from NEMA Size 00-5 and can handle 120-600 volts. This kit is meant to fix worn relays and be an exact replacement for worn contacts undergoing direct voltage.
