The S6R-DIG is a module from Reliance Electric used to convert fixed frequency and voltage three-phase AC power to adjustable voltage DC power. It is used in the AutoMax DPS system. This module was sold at various times under different company names, including Baldor-Reliance, Reliance, and ABB.
The S6R-DIG is a 230-460 VAC regenerative power module. It offers short-circuit protection, an AC line filter, SCR power semiconductors, power cube dv/dt protection, and electronic motor overload protection. It is UL Listed and CUR Certified.
The S6R-DIG is built with a snubber assembly, a multi-purpose PC board, line fuses, power cubes, a field PC board, and an armature PC board. The unit has a control power terminal board and a field power terminal board. A fan assembly is built into the rear of the external assembly to maintain proper air flow through the component. The entire unit is built upon a metal carrier that is drilled in several locations to allow for ease of mounting. The unit is labeled extensively on its top cover with handling warnings and identification labels.
