Product Description

The 45C900 is a Shark XL Series Processor made by Reliance Electric. There is a possibility that Baldor Reliance and ABB also sold this processor. This module is a part of the Reliance legacy series and maybe a little hard to find. Please refer to AX Control for the availability of the 45C900.

The 45C900 is a processor module that does not have the memory module option. There are two memory modules that can be separately purchased to allows for customization of the processor card. These memory modules are the 45C977 or the 45C975. The 45C977 grants the processor EEPROM memory with 2K words. The 45C975 memory module is EEPROM memory with 1K words. This is a non-volatile memory that is without batteries. This card has the following power requirements: 24VDC and 115/230 VAC at 50/60 Hz.

The 45C900 has two LED indicators on its faceplate. They are labeled power and run. There is also a connector on the faceplate. This processor does not come in a protective chassis or enclosure.  This module should only be used in an environment that has a humidity range of 20-90% non-condensing and a temperature range between 0 to +55% Celsius.

The 45C900 can be mounted to a Shark XL series card rack that has anywhere from 3-9 slots. Using a rack with more card slots will allow for future system expansion. The processor will consume only one of the slots on the rack. The power supply that can be selected for this rack set up does not take up a slot on the rack.
