Product Description

The 45C912 device is a rack assembly that was produced by Reliance Electric for the Shark XL product series. The 45C912 rack assembly, in most cases, will be found in AX Control’s stock, along with many other Shark XL series modules and rack assemblies. The 45C912 rack assembly is designated as a five-slot rack even though it has a total of six slots. The main five slots within the 45C912 rack assembly are designed so that they could hold Shark XL processor modules and I/O modules. The sixth slot is designed to hold a Shark XL power module. 

In order to connect the modules to the rack assembly, you will find an equivalent number of backplane connectors to the number of modules that the 45C912 rack assembly can hold. There are five larger backplane connectors for the main modules and a smaller backplane connector for the power module. In addition to that, all of the Shark XL rack assemblies have the ability to connect with other Shark XL rack assemblies. This is done by using the expansion rack connector piece that is located on the side of the rack assembly. Connecting multiple rack assemblies together will increase the amount of modules that you can store, which is particularly useful for larger facilities.

The 45C912 rack assembly is installed using the two mounting holes at the top of the module. You need to install the device onto a flat panel that can withstand the weight of the rack and all of the modules that are placed inside of it.
