The 45C913 module is a Shark XL rack assembly that was distributed by Reliance Electric. The 45C913 rack assembly is no longer being produced by Reliance Electric, but AX Control makes an effort to stock it for our customers. The 45C913 rack assembly is one of many different racks within the Shark XL series. The Shark XL racks range from as little as three slots to nine slots. You can find all of these racks listed on our website with their availability in our stock listed as well.

The 45C913 rack assembly has six slots for the Shark XL I/O and processor modules and one additional slot for the applicable power module. When the modules are not inside of the racks, you will be able to see the backplane connectors that are used to connect them to the rack. In addition to that, there is a way that you can connect the 45C913 rack assembly to other Shark XL rack assemblies. On the side of the 45C913 rack assembly, you will find what is called an “Expansion Rack Connector.” By connecting another rack to this connector piece, you can expand the space that you have for your modules.

When installing the 45C913 rack assembly, be sure to use a flat mounting surface. This mounting surface must be strong enough to support the weight of the rack plus the weight of all of the modules that will be connected within the rack. Be sure to use M4 or #8 panhead screws when mounting the rack assembly.
