45C918 Technical Specifications

Manufacturer Reliance Electric
Series Shark XL
Part Number 45C918

Product Description

The 45C918 unit was created by Reliance Electric to be a rack that is used in conjunction with the Shark XL series. The 45C918 rack, like all of the other products in the Shark XL series, is no longer being distributed by Reliance Electric. Despite that, AX Control may have this product in stock. Our website will outline the current availability of this or any other product.

The 45C918 rack is one of six total racks that are in the Shark XL series. With a total of nine slots, this rack is the largest out of these six racks in the Shark XL series. The smallest rack in this series has only three slots. If you are in need of any of these racks, you can search on our website to find them.

The 45C918 rack, as mentioned above, has nine slots. These slots are designated for the main Shark XL module, which are processor and I/O modules. There is, however, one more slot in the 45C918 rack that is designated for a Shark XL power module. All of the modules will connect to one of the rack’s backplane connectors, with the power module backplane connecter being significantly smaller than the backplane connectors for the main modules.

When installing the 45C918 rack, you will need to mount it onto a panel that is flat and vertical. The panel must be able to withstand the weight of the rack, which is about 3.00 lbs. or 1.36 kg., as well as all of the modules that will be kept inside of it. Use either #8 or M4 screws with the rack’s mounting holes.
