About the 45C945
The 45C945 is an Input Module that was created by Reliance Electric. There is a possibility that this component was also mass-produced and sold by Asea Brown Boveri and Baldor Reliance. None of these original companies are still supporting the 45C945. AX Control will still try to keep this part in stock. Please check our website for its availability.
The 45C945 is a 16-Channel 24VDC Digital Input Module for the Shark XL II Series of Programmable Controllers. It had a typical input voltage of 21.6-26 VDCs. It has a sourcing input current of 9mA. It has an off-voltage state of 7VDCs or less and an on-voltage state of 19VDCs or more. It has an 8-point input per common terminal output connection. It has an optoisolator isolation method.
The 45C945 has a series of 16 LED indicators that are labeled numerically 0-15. These LEDs will tell you when the input is connected to the module. It has a total of 20 input connection terminals that are labeled 0-7, C1, 8-15, and C2. The 0-7 uses a C1 common while 8-15 uses C2 commons. Terminals C1 and C2 are special because they are connected internally.
The 45C945 is typically plugged into a card storage rack. The rack slot numbers can vary from 3-9 slots. A power supply does not take up one of these rack slots. This module can be plugged into the main rack or into an expansion or remote rack. This module does not come with a protective chassis and has exposed circuitry.
