About the 0-56919-100
The 0-56919-100 circuit board was developed and manufactured by the company Reliance Electric to be part of the SP500 series. The 0-56919-100 is classified as a capacitor board. The 0-56919-100 capacitor board has since been discontinued by the original manufacturer, Reliance Electric, but AX Control may carry this product in refurbished condition or in new condition from surplus stock.
There are a total of twelve large, cylindrical brown electrolytic capacitors, which are used to store electricity. Since this board is a capacitor board, its main purpose is to store electricity through the numerous capacitors on the board. The board is also outfitted with some small resistors, which fulfill their purpose of adjusting certain flexible rates, such as current flow, voltage, signal levels, and transmission lines. In addition, there are two long contactors, which is an electrically operated switch that typically uses an electromagnet to open or close certain contacts.
This particular board possess PCB, or polychlorinated biphenyl, which is a chemically insulating oil. One of these capacitors is required for controllers that are rated at a horsepower of 10.
One of the fault codes in the SP500 series is associated with the capacitor board. The fault code “HU” is described as, “High DC bus voltage,” which is caused by the DC bus voltage being too high, as caused by the capacitors. To correct this, check the input line voltage and, if necessary, add a transformer.
The 0-56919-100 capacitor board weighs a total of 1.30 lbs. or 0.59 kg. This is, of course, without including any of AX Control’s packaging materials.
