About the 1SU20002

1SU20002 is manufactured by Reliance Electric. This SP500 series inverter drive chassis has a horsepower rating of 2 HP. The input and output is 200-230 VAC. 9.9 is the input amperes and 7.5 is the output amperes. The input is also 50/60 Hz, and the output is 0-240 Hz. The drive is UL listed and IEC certified.

The total area required for installation must be determined before installation can begin. There must be adequate air clearance around the drive. Do not mount the drives directly above each other. Keep the area around the drives and behind the drives free of all control power wiring. For the A size enclosure, there must be 2” of space between the sides of the drive and non-heat producing equipment and/or other drives, 4” of space between the top/bottom of the drive and non-heat producing equipment, and 10” of space between the top/bottom of the drive and another drive. For the B and C size enclosures, leave 4” of space on the sides of the drive, 1” of space from the top and bottom of the drive to non-heat producing equipment, and 10” of space from the top/bottom of the drive to other drives. For D size enclosures, leave 4” of space on all sides of the drive regardless of the adjacent equipment. Wire the drives with copper wire that has a minimum temperature rating of 60/75° C. Is there anything I should do before wiring my 1SU20002 drive?
Before installing your SP500 1SU20002 drive, you should evaluate the size of your available conduit, the size of power and control wiring, and motor lead lengths. It is important that the wiring fits properly inside the conduit and that the power level of the wiring is the correct strength to match the drive. All wires (AC Input Power, Output Power, DC Bus, and Ground) should be at a maximum of 14 AWG, 2 (mm^2) in size for 1SU20002 drives.

How do I program my 1SU20002 drive to come to a coast-to-rest stop rather than a ramp-to-rest stop?
Reliance Electric SP500 1SU20002 drives are on a default setting of a ramp-to-rest stop mode. A ramp-to-rest stop is the preferred method of stopping a SP500 drive because it fires the transistor power device drivers until the motor comes to a stop before turning off the power device drivers, but if you'd like to set your 1SU20002 drive to a coast-to-rest stop mode instead, the F-16 Coast Stop Enable parameter allows you to do so. By turning the F-16 parameter ON, the coast-to-rest stop is enabled and the motor will turn off the transistor power device drivers. Stopping modes are something to be cautious of due to hazards that could cause improper machine operations so all users need to make sure there is an emergency stop circuit outside of the drive's regular circuitry. This emergency stop circuit must be able to disable the system if your drive were to ever misfunction or if someone used the drive improperly.
